HOWTO INSTALL BUSBAR OF SMART GLASS PRIVACY FILM

You can DIY the busbar by yourself, following is instruction. If you

Cut a piece out of one angle of UP side of smart film.(The length of
the cut is about 30% of the smart glass film)

Use the ethanol to wash the cuts in both side

ethanol to dilute conductive glue)

+80℃ Celsius Degrees Low Temperature Processing
–Because of our patented modification of EVA Film formula, the CNC4SG
EVA Film can activate the cross-link reaction at 80℃ Celsius Degrees.
Due to this low temperature laminating advantage, when laminating
smart glass with CNC4SG EVA FILM, the smart PDLC film is only in the
80℃ Celsius Degrees environment and so can be protected from too high
temperature(other EVA film needs 130℃ to activate cross-link
reaction.)

+Bubbles Problem:
–High bubbles possibility-With Smart Glass Film sandwiched inside two
glasses, the Pre-Laminated Smart Glass is easier to get bubbles than
just laminating two glasses only. This problem has troubled the Smart
Glass manufacturer very much for long time, because Smart Glass Film
is high cost, they can not burden the cost of failure of laminating
processing.

+Bubbles Solutions:
–Advantage 1: Higher Melt-Flow-Rate. The main way we do is that we
specially modify a type of EVA Film for Smart Glass Lamination:
CNC-Force-4SG EVA, which is specially higher in Melt-Flow-Rate to make
the melting EVA Film can fill the glass and smart film surface more
easily and sufficiently to reduce the chance of bubbles. Less bubbles
means higher yield rate. High yield rate means cost reduction of your
lines.

–Advantage 2: Lower Viscosity. Second, we modify the Viscosity of EVA
Film to make the Melting EVA Film can go through and fill the glass
and smart glass film surface concave-convex more easily and
sufficiently to reduce the chance of bubbles. Less bubbles means
higher yield rate. High yield rate means cost reduction of your lines.

(Laminar shear of fluid between two plates. Friction between the fluid
and the moving boundaries causes the fluid to shear. The force
required for this action is a measure of the fluid’s viscosity. )

–Advantage 3: Dust-Free. The other advantage of CNC-Force-4SG EVA is
that the EVA Film is produced with MOST care of dust-free, no
contamination and cleanness.We specially pay highest attention to the
producing and package of CNC-Force-4SG EVA to make sure the EVA Film
is very clean and away from dust and contamination. Lest contamination
means higher yield rate. High yield rate means cost reduction of your
lines.

Installation Notes of Laminated Glass With EVA Film
Glass Sealant for Laminated Glass with EVA FILM

1. There are three kinds of glass sealant. They are: Acid, Alkaline,
and Neutral.
For laminated glass with EVA FILM, it’s better to use the Neutral Glass Sealant.
And also only the laminated glasses with the outdoor super-clear EVA
FILM can be sealed by the Glass Sealant.
But some EVA FILM Manufacturer has produced the Outdoor EVA Film can
be used with Acid Glass Sealant. But, please check with the EVA FILM
Manufacturer before you are going to use the Acid Glass Sealant.
Note: The Acid Glass Sealant is better in adhesion than Neutral Glass Sealant.

2. The manufacturers for the glass sealant:
1) Dow Corning is a great brand for the silicon glass sealant. Lean more.
2) There are some manufacturers in China producing the glass sealant.
Their products are great too. Learn more.
3. Like the EVA FILM which has many colors, the glass sealant also has
many colors to match the glasses.

How to Recycle the Unsuccessful Laminated Glass with EVA FILM
1. For the laminated glass with outdoor safety architectural super
transparent EVA FILM, there are some bubbles inside the laminated
glass. You can put the laminated glass into the autoclave to squeeze
the bubbles out. But remember that there is no guarantee for
successful all the time. But at least, you can try.

2. If you want to break away the EVA FILM from the glass which is
already laminated but not successful.
How to degum the EVA FILM? You can use the Acetone and banana oil to
degum the EVA FILM.
But let us reminds you that take a small test by yourself first.

Important Safe Notes of Operating EVA Vacuum Glass Laminating Machinery

When operating EVA Vacuum Glass Laminating Machine, please pay
attention to these safety notes:
(1)
The EVA Vacuum Glass Laminating Machine must be installed at dry
plain floor with good ventilation. But avoid strong sunlight radiation
and rain or moisture.

(2)
Don’t put or cover anything on the machine, and don’t jam the exhaust
outlet and Motor.

(3)
If the EVA Vacuum Glass Laminating Machine is at high temperature,
don’t open the door of a running EVA Vacuum Glass Laminating Machine.

(4)
Carefully push and pull the vacuum shelf. Because if the shelf breaks,
it will harm people.

(5)
Make sure the temperature is below 40℃ when take out the laminated EVA
glass from the silicone vacuuming bag.

Storage of Smart Glass Film(switchable glass film, privacy glass film)

When in long time storage of smart glass film(switchable glass film,
privacy glass film)
, because the smart glass film is made of liquid crystal and polymer,
so the smart glass film(switchable glass film, privacy glass film)
may be decompound by the acid and basicity in the air.

But CNC INTERLAYER TECH use the highest purity of crystal to avoid
decompounding.

But anyway, if you don’t use the smart glass film(especially the
non-adhesive smart glass film), please repack it in sealed condition.

Delamination of Ethylene Vinyl Acetate EVA Laminated Glass

Reason one:
The heating temperature or time is not enough. Please consult about
processing instruction with Ethylene Vinyl Acetate EVA Film
manufacturer.

Reason two:
Ethylene Vinyl Acetate EVA Film is out of self-life, please use
Ethylene Vinyl Acetate EVA Film before expiration. Please confirm with
Ethylene Vinyl Acetate EVA Film manufacturer how long the self-life
is.

Reason three:
The glass surface is not clean, maybe you use some organic water to
wash the glass, make sure the glass surface is clean and dry.

Reason four:
Moisture in the glass surface or Ethylene Vinyl Acetate EVA Film or
environment is too much. Please dry it before lamination. Or prolong
the low-temperature heating time.

Reason five:
If the lamination takes place in some part of laminated glass, maybe
it due to the sweat on the hand of worker, please make sure the worker
is wearing gloves.
