HOWTO INSTALL BUSBAR OF SMART GLASS PRIVACY FILM

You can DIY the busbar by yourself, following is instruction. If you

Cut a piece out of one angle of UP side of smart film.(The length of
the cut is about 30% of the smart glass film)

Cut PET out of one angle of DOWN side of smart glass film
Use the ethanol to wash the cuts in both side

Use ethanol to wash the cuts in both side of smart glass film until
it is clean
Pepare the conductive glue (if it’s too dense, you can use 99%
ethanol to dilute conductive glue)
Draw conductive glue onto the cut on both sides of smart glass film.
Make sure the conductive glue not touch the un-cut smart film edges

Draw conductive glue onto the cut. Make sure the conductive glue not
touch the UNCUT smart glass film edges
Use dryer to dry the conductive glue
Put the copper tape onto the conductive glue

Put the copper tape onto the conductive glue, make sure the copper
of one side is longer to be bent on to the other sizde, so we can
soldering both electrodes on same side

Use insulating tape to seal the busbar

Connecting with power device and turn on the switch, you will see
the smart film is transparent

you have finished installing the busbar of smart glass film.

“SMART GLASS FILM is composed by two transparent conductive film
laminating with a polymer liquid core. And the polymer liquid core
composes crystal ball and polymer. When the light pass through the
SMART GLASS FILM and reach the liquid crystal ball and polymer, the
light is scattering. And the SMART GLASS FILM appears translucent.
When electricity power is connected, the polymer-liquid crystal core
is allowing light pass through, the SMART GLASS FILM appears
transparent.”
